Yes. But there is also the possibility of exemption from school if they are over 21 years old and can prove a degree that is at the level of the Abitur in Germany. But they have to be able to pass the exams, which of course is difficult without attending school.
Usually the training starts in August or September. However, no start date is required by law.
For interns:
You have a trial period of 1 month for interns and a maximum of 4 months for trainees. However, the termination must be amicable so that we can secure a new place for applicants. They come in a completely foreign country and we ask you not to make a decision quickly.
